Financial literacy is the ability to make informed judgements and take effective decisions regarding the use and management of money throughout life.

The New Zealand Network for Financial Literacy is a focal point for initiatives to improve New Zealanders’ financial literacy. It is the home of New Zealand’s National Strategy for Financial Literacy.

Why improve New Zealanders’ financial literacy?  We believe it is a core component of personal financial wellbeing.

The New Zealand Network for Financial Literacy is run by the Commission for Financial Literacy and Retirement Income, an independent organisation which provides education and information to help New Zealanders prepare financially for retirement.
