All financial education providers listed on this website meet these criteria.
Criteria
1. Up to date
- Meets current legal requirements
- Meets current industry regulations and rules
- Takes account of any current research
- Contact details are current
2. Accurate
- The information provided and any supporting evidence is correct and balanced
3. Independent
- There is no overt or covert sales ‘pitch’
- There is no overt or covert bias favouring particular products or decisions
- Any relationship between the education provider and financial product providers or institutions is transparent and explicit
- There is a clear and transparent distinction between financial information, education and marketing
4. Education material has been evaluated or peer reviewed and the evaluation/review is available on request
5. Those delivering any financial education programme or course have been trained
6. Training providers have a Code of Conduct that is followed and available on request
