The New Zealand Network for Financial Literacy encourages the sharing of knowledge and experience and the development of measures that extend financial education and understanding by supporting, and participating in, a range of events, both in New Zealand and overseas.

Within New Zealand, the key focus has been on a national symposium on financial literacy, an event first held in 2006 and to be held again in June 2009.
