In December 2009 Retirement Commissioner Diana Crossan attended a high level international conference on financial education in Rio de Janeiro, hosted by the OECD.
The Commissioner is chair of the working group on evaluating financial education programmes. The working group has recently developed guidelines for evaluation.
New Zealand is trialing the guidelines early in 2010 and they will be available for general use mid-year. Diana Crossan's address was entitled ‘New Zealand financial education framework for schools and its evaluation’
