The ANZ-Retirement Commission 2009 Financial Knowledge Survey was commissioned by the Retirement Commission, supported by ANZ, and conducted by market research company Colmar Brunton. 

It showed an overall improvement in New Zealanders' financial knowledge.

The survey involved face to face interviews with 850 adults throughout New Zealand in March and April 2009.

It was overseen by a steering group including representatives of ANZ, the Retirement Commission and academic and financial experts.
