This report, prepared for the Capital Market Development Taskforce (May 2009), sets New Zealand’s financial literacy initiatives in an international context and summarises what is known about the effectiveness of financial literacy programmes. The report identifies possible gaps in the range of initiatives on offer in New Zealand in order to consider possible future directions for financial literacy in New Zealand.
